The highly acclaimed – and extremely rare – Louis Roederer Cristal Vinothèque epitomises the ethos behind VIP Wine Services.
Back in the early 1990s, the renowned vineyard decided to create a very special and highly exclusive Champagne under its world-famous Cristal name.
In 1995, in five secret cellars beneath the Rue de Savoye in Reims, just 400 bottles of brut and 200 bottles of rosé were hidden away. There they benefitted from an ultra-long aging process – ten years sur latte (on the lees) and a minimum ten years sur bouchon – all under the watchful eye of the Chef de Caves.
It wasn’t until 2017 that Champagne Louis Roederer decided its collection Vinothèque was finally ready to release, with its 1995 vintage the first made commercially available – and it has duly become one of the most sought-after but hardest to find vintages in the world.
Louis Roederer has been extremely careful with the release of the 1995 vintage, with just a handful of respected wine professionals and high-end connoisseurs able to source Vinothèque.
To the best of our knowledge, it is now simply unobtainable in Spain – except from VIP Wine Services. By using our extensive contacts in the world of fine wine we have managed to source one bottle of each of the 1995 blanc and rosé to offer to our clients.
